Olav Marjasoo was born into troubled times in Estonia in 1942. Olav’s mum and aunt fled with him to Germany in 1944 leaving his father behind.
Following the end of the war, his mum was arrested and detained. She managed to escape, reaching England in 1948. Olav was eventually reunited with his mum in Leeds in 1951.
Olav now lives with his wife in Skelmorlie having retired from a successful career in mechanical engineering and as Director of the Computer Centre in Paisley University.
