• Green Jug

A green jug with flowers of the plastic variety painted with palette knife. No rush to finish a painting when the perishables aren’t perishable.

The composition started with the intention of being central but a misjudged first few marks put paid to that. I don’t mind pushing the composition off centre but here I feel an unbalance. Not much in it but it’s there all the same. I tried a vertical line down the right to give a reason for the leftward leaning weight. And also the thin shelf stops abruptly on the right. I’ll call it quirky and perhaps get away with it!
